This party was extremely important to Liz. She was turning 30 in a new state, with a new job and new friends. We planned this party for months. Looking for the perfect Airbnb to host enough guest. Inviting an equal amount of guest. Plus cater, decorations and music.
We picked a beautiful 7 bedroom 4 bathroom Airbnb in North Carolina. About 15 minutes outside of the city of Charlotte. The Airbnb had a large kitchen and living room. A pool & jacuzzi. 12 ladies stayed at the Airbnb for the weekend. The birthday girl got the master suite! It had a lovely king size bed with a jet tube, standing shower and huge walk-in closet.
The guest list was 80 people easily! Liz had people coming from North, South, East & West to attend her party. I brought down 7 people from Michigan. -Road Trip!-
Liz found a dope cater in Charlotte. She prepared an amazing meal for the weekend. Saturday spread: salmon kabobs, smoked wings, crab cake bites, macaroni and cheese, seafood pasta salad, & cucumber tomato salad. Sunday’s brunch spread: shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, with eggs, turkey bacon, sausage and MIMOSAS!!!
We decided on decorations together! I did a balloon arch with different pinks, white and gold colors. Liz created this green grassy backdrop. We had balloons in the pool with pink lights!
We had the best DJ, play at Liz party! My bestfriend Erin @_iamdjrue. She kept the party going all night. From ol’ school to 99-2000s. She was rocking!
The breakdown to the weekend went like so…
Friday- Wine Down: It was like a Meet & Greet!People were traveling into town. The girls received room assignments. While everyone was getting acquainted we decorated for the next day. We even had a North Vs. South song battle. The South Won!
Saturday- Party Time: Party started at 1:00pm. We told everyone a few hours early. People be on CP Time. Food was served at 3:00pm. Liz gave her speech plus thanked everyone. We sang happy birthday & had Cake! We partied until Midnight. A few people went to an after party by one of Liz new friends house. So we lite the fire pit, heated up the jacuzzi & chilled
Sunday- We Brunch: the girls and I cleaned up from the night before. We had a delicious brunch & toast. We chatted about the night previously. Shared stories, videos and photos. That night a few friends from Michigan wanted to see the town. We went to Peters Bar, Sports One Bar & Lounge, Charlotte.
Monday- Farewell: we packed up, said our goodbyes and headed home. Liz & I always cry when we leave each other. She’s my best friend, all I wanted was her to have a very special birthday! Hopefully this vlog sums it up! Love you Lizzy McGuire💕
